What are Webkinz?

Webkinz are a great, 2-in-1 toy and collector item.
They are adorable, well-made stuffed animals that have an online “second life” – this means that there is a website where Webkinz users get together and create homes and “lives” for their virtual pets.
THE TOY
Webkinz are plush toys in a wide array of animals and mystical creatures. A few favorites in our house are:
- “Snowy” the Snowman
- “Fudge” the Tree Frog
- “Love Toad” the Valentine’s Day pink heart-covered toad
- “Lava” the black and orange Dragon
- “Puppy” the mini black poodle
THE WEBSITE
Each Webkinz comes with a special Adoption code. Take this code with you to the Webkinz website to “adopt” your pet and start taking care of it online.

Our son played games and participated in challenges to earn “KinzCash” to “buy” the items in this room – like the bed, the clothes in the dresser and so on.
WHERE DO YOU BUY WEBKINZ?
Webkinz are available at a variety of stores both online and offline.
In your local area, try card shops (like Hallmark stores), toy stores and hobby shops. Occasionally, you’ll find them at superstores like Meijer (in the Midwest).
Your best bet, though, for selection and availability of exactly the pet you’re looking for is online.
